Certified Carbon Auditing Professional (CAP™)

The Certified Carbon Auditing Professional (CAP™) program, offered by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), recognizes professionals who excel as leaders in the rapidly evolving field of carbon reduction.

What is CAP™?
CAP™ professionals are equipped with the expertise to help organizations reduce their carbon footprint and strive for carbon neutrality. They possess in-depth knowledge of global climate frameworks such as the Paris Agreement and Kyoto Protocol, as well as standards published by WRI, ISO, and WBCSD. CAP™ certification empowers professionals to:

• Interpret legal requirements and global trends in carbon reduction
• Conduct carbon audits and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission inventories
• Identify carbon reduction opportunities
• Establish and manage GHG emissions programs
• Report carbon emissions in compliance with international standards
• Perform emissions verification
• Structure project financing and marketing strategies for successful implementation
